J- Lo & Ben Split, Again!

I saw a social media post saying J- lo had filed for divorce. I didn't think it was true and asked my cousin who confirmed it was. Unfortunately, we hear of divorce stories too often, so why was I double checking this one? I saw a comment that said J-Lo is the modern times Elizabeth Taylor.

I was recently watching the podcast, Dear Future Wifey and a lady during the q&a segment of that episode, shared how she had been married 5 times and was hopeful she would find someone. She shared how she came from a broken home, had been sexually abused and believed all these and other incidences played a role in her relationships. The lesson I got is, as tempting as it is, refrain from judging people because we don't know their story.

The Excellent Book shares the story of the woman at the well who had an encounter with Jesus. She too had had 5 husbands before and was not married to the one she was currently with. I love the story because yet again, it showed Jesus gentle side and caring love for women. He knew this gender are likely to be called hoes, and for the streets so he does what he does best, Loves on her like no other man ever will.

By the time the woman had finished speaking to Jesus, she went back to town to spread what happened to her. A miracle in itself because the reason she was at the well at that time, was to avoid people. Her encounter with Jesus, left her wanting to seek people and share the good she had received. She was not the same and she was not going to keep that to herself. She had to share the Word.

From the memes that circulate on social media it is so clear that humans are all the same. We may live in different continents, speak different languages, but wherever you grew up, you are likely to have had a mother who did her house chores, LOUDLY during the weekend when you were trying to sleep. Pots banging, hoover banging on the door just like one of my favourite IG pages, sooshimango shared about Italian moms. Moms are all the same!

Humans are the same regardless of race and belief. One thing that is common to many of us, is we are all looking for love. So, J-Lo is not wrong in seeking love at all. We are creatures of Love, because God our Father and Creator is Love. It is in our DNA to desire love. It is normal!

What becomes a challenge is that some of us are looking for love that cannot be found in a human being. It has to be found right at the Source. If we find our romantic relationships are consecutively not going the way we want, the good news is that the answer has always been there, is always there and lo will always be with us till the end of time. Yes, Jesus is the answer and when we abide in him, he will abide in us. When we don't there is nothing, we can do without him. I am not saying that as a point, it is literally what Jesus says "For without me you can do nothing"

When you are heartbroken there is a healing that only the Prince of Peace can give because again no human can give you that peace. Is it coin-ki-dence that in the era people have rejected the Prince of Peace, there is literally no peace in the world and the anxiety and depression levels continue to soar even in children?  Nothing worldly can give us that peace that surpasses all understanding. Again, the Prince of Peace says, he gives a peace that is not of this world, so I'm not just trying to make a point.

I am very much an advocate for counselling and therapy. There is a broken heartedness that no human can counsel and therapize you through. Yes, the Wonderful counsellor will counsel you in a way that no human being can because he created you! He sees where the hurt is more than you even know. He knows exactly why you hurt as you do. Your understanding of your pain compared to his understanding, makes yours look like fake news.

J-Lo has probably paid for world class therapists and that’s the problem. They are world class when like many of us, we need the Wonderful Counsellor who has been here from the beginning of time and our birth time, to do what he does best hence his title of Great Healer.

When you're looking for a love that can’t be found in a human, peace that can’t be found in a human or the world, and therefore things that are beyond humans, you can't go to a world class therapist as your first port of call. First, you go to the Wonderful Counsellor, Prince of Peace and Great healer.

He knows you beyond all the psychological books of all time put together and all the anatomy books of all time put together, with any machine to examine said biology and psychology. May my Father on His throne give me permission to say this in this way. Seek ye first the healing of God when you are broken hearted and life is constantly letting you down. God will help you, strengthen you and uphold you with his victorious right hand.
