From August 2022 I’ve been involved in things I never dreamed or thought of, including a LinkedIn writing course, writing & publishing masterclass, blogging webinar, Digi conferences I attended. As with many events of my life, I thought I was doing it for one thing then later discovered it was for something else. To me, I was just learning from. I had no clue I will be writing this blog. Next month will be a whole year since I started this blog. God is Good, God is Great, God is the Best!

I also didn’t know I would be writing newsletters. There was purpose in doing those things, even though I didn’t know it at the time. Nothing we ever do is in vain. Everything has a purpose. Something else that was building up through the years was my like for technology or computer. I remember my mom took me to computer classes when I was in primary school. I just thought like the tuition classes, French classes, I used to attend, this was yet another class I had to go for.

When I reached high school, technology had been fruitful and multiplied to the norm it now is. I remember my holiday breaks from university, when I would chat with my friends on the wonderful MSN messenger. I can hear the notification sound, a sound I loved to hear. MSN messenger was fun!

The urgency I had to respond with to the messages and stories, led me to boost my typing skills more than any computer class I attended ever did. I credit MSN for the ability to not only type quickly but somehow be able to type while looking at the screen and not the keyboard. Thank you, Jesus. Sometimes we don’t recognise the things we can do because yes maybe many are doing it but ask what is the value to someone paying to learn that skill, then you will realise it is not to be taken for granted. In everything however “small” we give thanks.

When I started this blog, I thought the blogging sites were places where you would just write and that’s it. May be that’s the case but the one I found wasn’t the case and now as I write this, I can see why God had it that way. I landed on wix.com and you had the option of designing your blog site and it was free, I love free. I played on the site and created my blogimonie (blog of testimonies) site and started writing. This was in August 2022. The next month, I decided to go into the field of helping men and women make lasting health and lifestyle changes so they can live a healthier, happier life, by helping them overcome the hurdles that have been standing in their way.

At the beginning of the health coaching course, I decided to look into getting a website. It is expensive. There was also debate in the community on whether it pays to have a website that early on. To me I needed one. If I am booking a holiday and it doesn’t have a website, I am dubious about it. One thing memes have shown us and why they are popular, is that, humans, we are just the same.

I imagined if someone wanted to come and invest in their health with me, they would want to see a place where I had my information and get to see what they could get. I searched on YouTube for ways to get a website either free or doing it by myself (not that I had any clue). Any guesses which website was the most popular? Correct! Wix.com! Look at God! God is Good, God is Great, God is the Best.

I repeat, nothing you ever do is by accident or luck. Our steps are divinely ordered whether you understand it or not, whether you believe it or not, whether you can see the purpose of it or not. I started building my website and did it to the point where it did what I wanted it to do. Will I supersize it when the practice begins to supersize? 100% Yes.

That’s the first part of the testimony. The second part is about this wisdom that God says we should ask for. That’s exactly what happened in setting up my website. Yes Wix makes it straightforward to do but again, I don’t want to take for granted this win. Yes some of the parts were easy but some were not. I needed to get the booking page from one website to my website. Lord have mercy! I had no clue how to and sometimes I don’t remember to ask for help. I think that too had a reason. Everything has a purpose and God knows how to use everything in your life.

One thing I love to do is go for my walks. I get so many quick wins from them. I get to talk to God and literally walk with the Lord. I get to see my flowers all around the places I walk and take pictures. On my way back home after one of my walks, I talked to God to help me put the scheduling link from that website to mine. The scheduling website had created a code, which was a paragraph of computer language, that if put on my website, would turn into the link that would then take the person to the scheduling website. I went to the panel of Wix where you have different options of adding text, images etc. How would you get the button icon to be clickable and take you to book an appointment with me?

I then saw on the add elements option something titled “embed code”. When I clicked on it, I saw that it gave you the option of adding a website URL or a code! Ta da! I couldn’t believe it because it was in a place, I frequented anytime I was on that website. You can explain this in many ways, but I know clear and well this was my prayer answered. My eyes had been opened to see, in a similar way that Hagar’s eyes were opened, and she saw the well of water.

I really love that story that’s why I keep repeating it in these stories. The day I asked for the wisdom to do it, having done no research whatsoever, I got to do it. The best part, it was so easy to do it. Then I came across a challenge. Lord have mercy what now!

Once I put the code, the button would sometimes have a little drop-down arrow beside it. That wasn’t supposed to be the case. I would start the process again and take the same actions and get the same result. Isn’t this a metaphor for our life of sin? We do the same things and wonder why we are just falling off the wagon of obedience. This then sets the precedence of how we do things in all areas of our life e.g., in our health, we take the same actions e.g., don’t get enough sleep, take too much sugar and wonder why we don’t have energy for anything. 8pm is midnight to you because your battery is dead.

I realised why the unwanted dropdown arrows were appearing. When I copied the code in the embed code box, there was already a code there. If I pasted the code after these existing ones, the dropdown would appear. Despite doing it in what I thought was the right way, the drop down appeared again, it was so annoying and time consuming.” Something” told me to start the process again from pasting the code then take note when the drop down appeared. When I adjusted/cropped the button too thin or too narrow, the drop down appeared! Solved! Finally!

There were many instances like that where I went from not knowing what to do to knowing what to do, just like that! Its not just like that! First of all (not in any order) wisdom is one of my consistent prayers. At all times wherever you are, whatever you are doing, you always have a divine counsellor and helper who helps you with everything! You just have to ask. My encouragement as from the Excellent Book, is ask for wisdom and it will be yours.

Now all this ability to do technology was all good till I tried Canva. For the life of me, I just wasn’t getting it. This time I went to YouTube and looked for the shortest video as I do because when I’m trying to learn something I’m not trying to learn it for 3 semesters. I did a course on Canva provided as part of my alumni health coaching training and soon after I was able to create items and in 2 weeks, I had created 10 designs and got a certificate from Canva which was exciting because I love a certificate.

The last part of the testimony is with the newsletter I had to do. I needed to attach a guide on how to reduce sugar to my subscribers and I couldn’t find how to attach the pdf. You tube had a short video and it looked easy. When I went to do it, there was no option to paste the google drive link. I was getting irritated. I had already spent so much time figuring various things with the email system. Time was going and I needed to finish that activity before Sabbath began. I looked for where to copy the link but there was nothing. Then I saw the icon for copy link on the button icon. When I clicked on it, it allowed me to then paste the link. Hallelujah! I was able to attach my pdf in the form of a button.

I am thankful for the help God has given me in yet another important area. The help has been vital because it has saved me money that the practice will get when it is supersized. I am doing things that last year I would have said “there’s no way I can do that!” Yet here I am doing things I never thought or dreamed of. I am seeing that all the while God was preparing me. Surely with these kinds of skills and abilities, I have the potential to be a python developer, right? Jokes aside, in everything as I said earlier, we give tremendous thanks.

This past year has been about doing the practical of what the verse "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" says. Jesus himself said without him we can’t do anything. Ellen G White in “Step To Christ “on pg. 52, 4th line from the top page, explains it this way. If you do anything on your own without doing it with God, you must fail!

I believe this is very true. My confidence in this journey and in life in general is growing because all God has shown me, is that he is bigger than my understanding or lack of. He is bigger than everything and when it is his will to do something, nothing and no one can stop him, not even me. I am eager to supersize my practice, but I am really trying to be intentional about reminding myself that first of all God is the one who brought me here.

I didn’t know anything about health coaching a year ago! So, if he brought me here, he has already provided, so I need not fear. In addition to the proven track record God has in my life, today one of my digital churches, reiterated that God has not given us a spirit of fear. This is why he reminds us 365 times in the Excellent Book not to fear. Why? He is with us and can never leave us nor forsake us, especially in our time of need.

He is not malicious and not a sadist. He may be silent but one thing you are guaranteed as per the sermon in church today talking about Psalms 22, at the end of your struggles, you will give praise guaranteed! You may not see how but you will give praise. You may have mustard seed the size that needs to be seen with an electronic microscope, but you will give praise. Fear not whether your praise will be here in the land of the living or in your mansion on golden streets, either way there will be praise from your lips.

From my other post I can do all things Carpentry, of the many things you can seek my help with, plumbing, electrics, carpentry, health and lifestyle, please feel free to approach me for your all your website design needs. Anyway, my encouragement to you is that in anything you do, do it with God and live out the verse that ears haven’t heard, eyes haven’t seen, minds haven't imagined, what God will do for you. Only believe.

God is Good, God is Great, God is the Ultimate Best.
